This was my first dive into flash comics coming from Injustice and the New 52 batman main series run. I'm going to agree with what some others have said in that the color and detail of the artwork is really good. However, some of the poses felt kinda weird and rubbery. It's somewhat hard to describe but you'll know it when you see it.The story in this one is ok. It feels straight forward with a clear direction in mind. That said, they gave away too many hints at the beginning and spoiled the "big twist" at the end. Which you know isn't too bad in and of itself because it allows you to notice even more hints and clues and get a good sense of the world. But at the same time, it kinda sucks to lose some of the mystery that the story was trying to build up.All that said, I feel like the book turned out somewhat greater than the sum of its parts. Based on individual aspects alone, I feel the book would average out to be a 3/5. But despite some oddly draw art, and a predictable plot line, the book taken as a whole holds together enough charm to still be enjoyable. At the very least, it was good enough to get me to order Vol. 2.
The story is good.Some of art was not my style.I would recommend for flash reader.New readers of flash put this on wish list and come back later.
This is the first DC series I have gotten into. I'm usually a Marvel guy. But the story by Josh Williamson and art by Carmine Di G is outstanding! Like I said this is my first series as I haven't read any of the older Flash volumes. I do like the tv show and the story here is similar to what is on tv. Not the same but similar so I was familiar with the Central City I saw in the pages. The Flash Rebirth has been a very fun read so far. Keep up the good work Josh and Carmine!
Great book. Came in prestine condition. Great price for the thickness. I notice DC comic volume tend to be longer and colect more issues than marvels. And they cost about the same.
This is a nice volume,the story is good and the context of each character, even the new kid flash and the complete new speedters
I might be biased, but The Flash is one of my favorite DC characters. This story is fantastic and gets you in the feels. READ IT.
Absolutely loved this. The Flash is my favorite DC character, and this first volume is definitely worthy of the title of the Flash. If you haven't read this yet, do yourself a favor and get it immediatly. Even if you don't like the Flash, read it anyways because it's a great story
Let me start by saying that this is my first Flash comic, i've always liked him as a part of the Justice League but have never really read a solo book. Okay so this book took me days to get through, whether it was just all the dialogue or the boring first half idk but i just wasn't into it. It did get better towards the end with the Godspeed character but overall it was just an okay volume 1, not terrible by any stretch but just ok.Also having picked up 15 D.C. Rebirth volumes 1's this one had the weakest art work.
